Meet Your Instructor

Ben Vernille, Head Instructor at Firearms Safety Academy, is an NRA Certified Instructor in six disciplines. With over 40 years of shooting experience, he has competed extensively in action shooting events across the United States. Additionally, he served for several years on the U.S. Army rifle team, participating in premier military and civilian matches nationwide.
Ben has dedicated significant study to the techniques and strategies employed by elite rifle and pistol champions to achieve competitive success. He has managed military rifle ranges accommodating up to 50 shooters simultaneously, demonstrating expertise in conducting such operations safely and efficiently. Throughout his career, he has instructed numerous students in safe firearm handling and advanced shooting proficiency.
